You'd think it would be easy to find in a place like Italy. Seriously. Wouldn't you?
Like, who wants to eat spaghetti with tomato sauce every single night? Argh.
(See ‘Ciao Bella’.)
One of the highlights of the entire event was the tour of the Vetrofond factory. Guided by Laura (and forbidden to take photos through most of it), we got to watch a huge room full of muscular tattooed guys running around with huge blobs of glass, unbelievably synchronized in a way that is hard to describe (yeah, yeah, you had to be there). That was a powerful experience. Not to mention, later on we got to roam around the warehouse and fondle and lick all the glass rods. Multiple glassgasms were had by all.
Maestro of glass birds, insects, sea creatures and more. Linda Lee and I had a chance to stop by his studio in Venice on the last day. He doesn’t speak a word of English, but we somehow managed to communicate through the language of glass. When he learned we were Murano Magicians, he excitedly guided us through a huge stack of photo albums, showing us all his international glassy experiences (the guy has definitely been around).
Rumors say he had visited our studio at some point, and even gave a little demo, but I missed out on that. Oh well. http://www.popweb.com/costantini
