Gelato

A cold, sweet and colorful substance you can never have too much of. Seriously. NEVER.

Generosity

One of the things that impressed me most about Murano Magic is how everyone, from the beginner beadmakers to the experienced local glass maestros, was always willing to share information. You’d expect some people to be stuck up, carefully guarding their secrets, but that attitude was hardly encountered at all. If you ask any question, someone will always be glad to answer. That rocks.

Giubelli

Aka ‘Hollow Bead Guy’. I didn’t really get what all the fuss was about, until I finally made it to his shop and got to watch him work. Almost made me want to try some hollows myself. Almost.

Glass

Yeah baby.

Cane, baby

Glass, Glitter and Gravity

The official name of my final (and newest) workshop. No one can ever seem to remember what the GGG stands for – I’ve heard it all, from ‘Gold, Glass and Gas’ to ‘Grapes, Gondolas and Gorgonzola’. (Okay, I made that last one up.)

Gondolas

Let’s face it – they really, really suck.

Goodbyes

They suck even more than gondolas.

Grazie

Italian for ‘thank you’. This is good to remember. I am still not entirely sure about the correct pronunciation.

Charming glass gal and an island of stability in Q’s chaotic life.

Gunnar

Token male student in my ‘Silver Secrets’ workshop, and at 2 meters tall, possibly the biggest glass supplier in the world. He also happens to have a very cool collection of chevrons.
