Quick Updates

Manifesto Club has done a piece about my story. You can read it here.

If you’d like to sign their Visiting Artists and Academics petition and haven’t done so yet, you can find that here.

I do plan on visiting the UK in the future, and it would be great if I didn’t have to jump through hoops to do so. I really hope that this will make a change.

I finally posted those Pandora-style beads! You can find them in my bead shop.

You can also find some more new items in my jewelry shop, and more to come… I need to get everything photographed before the end of the sale!

Everything is 25% off for 3 more days! Use the coupon code NOPLACELIKEHOME to get your discount.

All in all, against all odds, life seems pretty good at the moment. Of course I wish I could be in the UK right now, teaching my class at Di’s, but after everything that happened, I think it’s safe to say I have landed on my feet. With the help of all my wonderful friends all over the world, of course.

Stuff is happening. Good stuff. Things are going to be okay.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

    Hello Sarah,

I just signed the petition for Visiting Artists and Academics. My signature number is 10889. In the comments box I added:
Artists offer creativity, beauty and joy to many, though financially it is quite hard.
It makes no sense to impose added expenses when the reason for going abroad
is to expose their work to others. Imposition of costly requirements inhibits this
opprtunity to the already economically-challenged artists.

I hope through your newsletter that other customers (and their family and friends) take a few minutes out of their day to sign the petition .Maybe next year Sarah, you can present your work to the UK smiling as you go through Customs.

    I wish you the best.

    Hi Sarah.

I’ve just signed the petition too. See this is in the UK Independent newspaper today: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/news/tate-tough-visa-rules-harm-uks-cultural-life-2341666.html Maybe they will listen to the voices from ‘high’ art’ but let’s hope everybody wanting to enrich our lives and culture gets through!

    all the best

    Felicity
